19th Century Italian Ceramic Wall Decorative Rosette
Description
Italian ceramic wall decorative rosette with a relief representation of the god Eros, with his bow and arrow, riding an eagle.
These rosettes were placed in a specially constructed hole, inserted into the wall, mainly above doors inside the house or in the courtyard as decorative elements.
Early 19th century
Dimensions: 35 cm diameter, 6 cm depth.

Condition: Excellent, no traces of installation, probably never used for its intended purpose.
